Keep Going w/ Jackie Aina

I love seeing other women win. It reminds me to keep going in moments where I start getting tired  or doubtful, because confidence is so contagious! And that’s exactly how I feel every time I see Jackie Aina on my timeline.

She turned her YouTube page, where she shared makeup tutorials and product reviews, into a booming multi million dollar empire which includes her self care brand FVR Mood, known for candles and most recently — one of my favorite things in life --  fragrances!

In our interview with Jackie, she got candid about the reality of her journey and that it took 5 years before her YouTube page started taking off. But her persistence and belief in herself kept her going.

I have to say, my career hasn’t always moved at the pace I expected it to. It took 7 years for Vision In Vogue to get noticed by a tv station, 8 years before any Emmy recognition, 9 years before I interviewed anyone on my bucket list, and at 10 years I still have to fight for this show constantly.

But I will say, the show has evolved into more than I could have imagined when I launched it in 2014… and the main reason is because I kept going.

Jackie had plenty of opportunities to get complacent, but instead she stayed locked in finding new ways to multiply her successes over and over again.

You ever heard the saying “stay ready so you don’t have to get ready?” Well one thing about Jackie … she stays ready!

The ability to seize opportunities when they show up is what got her to this place. She could’ve been content with the massive success she had on YouTube .. but she kept elevating and look where it’s lead her.

So like Jackie… no matter what…. Keep going!

And you’re vision in depending on it.
