The Pivot with Adrienne Bailon

At this point, I’ve lost   count of how many   times I’ve had to pivot in   life. Sometimes the   pivots have been   planned and other times they’ve been completely unexpected. Life will force you into change.

When I think back over     my journey so far, every   step has been a series of pivots. I’ve got to say, I haven’t had the most conventional path with the rapid twists and turns along the way.

Professionally, I had no interest or intention of getting into traditional news. After graduating college, I moved to L.A. and immediately started Vision in Vogue. Once the first eight episodes were out in the world, I was approached by a news director in Huntsville, AL…(a place I had never dreamed of moving.)

The idea of leaving Los Angeles – especially so soon – had never crossed my mind. So, I had to make a decision. I could stay amidst the beaches and palm trees and continue to film my show on my own, or pack up my life for a broadcast opportunity in Alabama. Ultimately, I decided to pivot!

And because of that decision, my career in television began eventually leading Vision in Vogue to find a new home at a tv station.

Looking back, I wouldn’t have it any other way! I learned how to go with the flow and trust that God has it all under control. It’s such a freaking cliché, but everything really does happen for a reason.

No one knows more about the power of a pivot more than singer, actress and host Adrienne Bailon. From 3LW to the Cheetah Girls, and The Real to E! News, she has seen and done it all in the entertainment industry.

After recently making the decision to leave E! News, a job she held for about a year, Bailon is jumping into full-time entrepreneurship with her clothing line, La Voute.

Adrienne has been busy making pivots in her personal life, too. She went through 8 IVF cycles, two miscarriages, and a failed IUI before bringing her adorable baby boy, Ever, into the world via surrogate in 2022.

Given all of this, who better to have a heart-to-heart conversation about shifting gears with boldness and grace than her?

One thing about Adrienne: she might change the strategy, but not the destination. At no point during her IVF journey did she give up on her desire to be a mother. She just kept pivoting until a solution was found.

I love surrounding myself with women who go for what they want. Every shift in Adrienne’s life was a building block to create the life she wanted for herself.

Sometimes you just gotta pivot. Your vision is depending on it.
