OMG it’s really happening! Welcome to the all new Vision in Vogue!
After several months of prepping for this re-launch (okay, actually a couple of years..listen, I’ve had a lot going on), it’s finally time to start rolling out brand new episodes of this show that means so much to me.
For those who might be new around here, let’s start with a brief introduction.
My name is Viv (short for Vivian), which just so happens to be the acronym for my show Vision in Vogue. Funny how things work out, huh? Anyway, I’m so glad you’re here!
It’s hard to believe I created this brand 10 years ago. So much has changed during that time and I can’t wait to tell you all about it.
Before I created Vision in Vogue, I was so confused about what I was doing with my life… and who I was. But then came this idea! What if I created a space where women could discuss all of that confusion and, ideally, the life-shaping lessons we’re learning along the way?
Getting that first season off the ground a decade ago was not easy (we can unpack this later), but my gosh it was so worth it.
When we filmed that first episode in 2014, I remember immediately feeling like this show had a bigger purpose.
From there, it only started to grow.
I began to realize that the series had become a form of therapy for me. I was having these honest and vulnerable conversations with other inspiring women. I learned so much from them, and I’d like to think they learned a little bit from me along the way, too.
Storytelling and the community it can create is so powerful— it reminded me why I became a journalist in the first place.
After initially releasing 8 episodes, the show took on a life of its own not only connecting thousands of women, but eventually airing on television and earning an Emmy nomination.
I’ve also had the opportunity to work as an anchor, TV host and journalist for several media outlets including ABC, NBC, E! News and Oprah.com.
Along the way, I’ve picked up so much valuable experience and many different tools to make me better not just professionally, but personally.
Since Vision in Vogue has been on hiatus, I’ve realized that nothing lights up my spirit more than connection and conversation with women who inspire me.
So, here we are! Vision in Vogue is back and I could not be more grateful that you’ve decided to join me on this journey. Grab a cocktail, hang out for a while and use this site as a resource for intimate conversation, connection, and community.
This mission only grows as we share together, so I look forward to hearing your stories as we execute our vision.
Can’t wait to learn and grow together.
Xoxo,
Viv
